  • Our son has been at Rocking Horse since January 2024. We immediately felt the staff was a community, who worked in harmony with eachother. The atmosphere is peaceful and creativity is seen everywhere. The administration is wonderful. Krystal helped us with our registration and she continues to be a guide for parents, letting us know she is always available to answer our questions. Thank you Ms. Teresa and Ms. Sooror for being such wonderful teachers to my son when he was in the senior toddler class. From the very first day he started, I felt such relief and appreciation. He transitioned easily because of the love and attention he received on a daily basis. We love the daily updates, monthly newsletters and special events for the children. So much thought goes into all their activities and lessons. Now he is in the Casa class and we continue to be amazed at the care, warmth and attention to detail from his teachers, Ms. Michaela and Ms. Shadi. We are so very grateful and are so happy Matthew is enjoying his time at Rocking Horse.

  • My daughter attended this daycare for two amazing years, and everything was perfect. She learned so much during her time in Casa 1, thanks to the incredible support, care, and guidance from Ms. Michaela and Ms. Shadi. They always went above and beyond to ensure she felt safe, happy, and engaged. We are truly grateful for their dedication and the positive impact they've had on her growth.   • We love this daycare :) my husband and I visited a few daycares that did not meet our expectations until we found RHMS. As a teacher, it was so important for our son to have valuable learning during his day. The teachers do an amazing job, especially in the way they incorporate play into their lessons. I love the planning they do for themes of the week and I’m able to keep up with his learning. It’s also so nice that they post pictures and updates on the Lillio app. The daycare is clean, the staff are so kind and friendly and our son loves his teachers, Ms. Teresa and Ms. Sooror. He gets so excited to attend daycare and see them everyday which as a parent is such a joy to see. Thanks for everything RHMS! :)

  • Great daycare! I sent my son to the school, which was his first ever experience away from his family. The school staff were very attentive and warm and helped my son transition to the new environment. He loved his time at Rocking Horse Montessori! Thanks for the memories.

  • Thank you so much to all the amazing teachers at this school, I could not be more grateful to have been part of your family. My son started with this daycare at 9 months of age and will have his last day this week to persue kindergarten as a Big Boy 4 year old! The way Vicente has grown in every aspect and how we was so excited to go to school every morning , made me the happiest mom! Even when we moved to Oshawa, we kept him there because we knew he loved going to his teachers, thank you so much for accommodating us always. For parents : this is the right place to see your kids grow, teacher are all amazing! If I could , I would leave 10 Stars hands down!

  • We are so happy we found Rocking Horse! the Casa 3 teachers are FANTASTIC! The school itself is clean, they do so many fun activities with the kids and really have a great curriculum. The outdoor play area is open and fun. The office staff (Supervisors/Directors) are kind and responsive. Everything you are looking for for your little ones this Montessori has!

  • My daughter has been at this school since she was 16 months old. Her return after some time away due to Covid was met with compassion and patience and genuine care for my daughter. Getting back into the school setting was challenging for her at first but the faculty at the school and her dear teacher really made her transition smooth, my daughter has been flourishing and improving in all areas and I’m so happy she is a student at Rocking Horse!

  • RHMS was my son's home away from home for over two years. We recently moved, and while searching for a new daycare I found my self looking for all the things we loved about RHMS, which included: • Clean, calm and organized classrooms; • A large, fun and safe outdoor space with shade; • Welcoming, friendly and attentive teachers and staff; • A diverse and inclusive learning environment; • A healthy and delicious menu; • Age appropriate learning materials and activities; and • A digital app (HiMama) to send and receive important information. My son thrived at RHMS, and often asked to go to back to school at pick-up. He also bonded with many of his teachers, and still talks about them. RHMS is truly a wonderful school!

Nutritious food is always provided. During the pandemic it is difficult to find high quality and safe childcare and I am so happy to have found Rocking Horse Montessori.

  • It is absolutely a lovely school with great staffs that care about kids. My son started at age 18m and now with 2y he’s showing so much development and skills resulting of his time at school every day. He loves to go to the school and Ms. Katy is always updating new activities which allow us to see what kids are doing every day! I also have to say Ms. Krystal (supervisor) is absolutely wonderful and always ready to help you when you need. It’s the best investment for my son! Thank you so much.

  • Infant Program Review: My husband and I did quite a bit of research before sending our 12 month old to the Rocking Horse. As first time parents, we were very skeptical and nervous at all the good reviews posted here in the beginning but we decided to take a tour at the Rocking Horse anyway. First Impression: Although RHM is not as spacious as many other daycares out in the area, but what won us over is that the space is welcoming, homie, cute and cozy and it definitely didn't look "pretentious" or "try-hard". Given the current situation of Covid-19, the staff at RHM took all necessary precautions to ensure the space is safe for parents and kids to visit. It just felt right and the people there are friendly and well-organized so we didn't even bother to "shop-around" and just went with RHM to save us the stress. Actual Experience: We were still so nervous to send our daughter to daycare in the beginning, she cried throughout the first week just like most babies and didn't eat much of the food the school had prepared for her... but shortly after 2 weeks of transitioning, she couldn't wait to say bye to us when we drop her off in the morning! My daughter adjusted so well at RHM and we are very pleased that RHM is working so well for our family. It has only been a month, my 13 month old has weaned off from her bottle and has been developing so well with the right nurture and care the teachers have been providing her. My daughter gets so excited and would grab her own shoes and backpack whenever we say "let's go to school" in the morning. It is honestly the cutest thing to see... and I knew she wouldn't be so happy and excited to go to school if the teachers hadn't provided a positive learning environment for her. Overall Ratings: Infant Room Teachers: 5/5 Tuition: 5/5 Location: 4/5 Infant Activities and Programs: 5/5 Food: 4/5

  • Both my husband and I have nothing but great things to say about Rocking Horse Montessori!!! From the moment we drop off our 27 month old son to the minute we pick him up, we know he is in great hands with the teachers and staff at this amazing facility!!! We love the staff so much!! We always get daily updates on him from what he ate, to when he napped to his activities and photos too :):) He was attending Rocking Horse well before Covid started and continues to go now during Covid. We feel at ease leaving him there with all the safety measures they take. From temperature checks to all staff in gowns and masks - we never doubted the safety here. I cannot say enough good things about this school!!! The owner, Krystal, and all the teachers from infant to toddler are just phenomenal!!! Do not hesitate to go here!!!!!!!!

  • I enrolled my son at this daycare since September and I'm very happy with this decision. At first, he cried alot because it was a new environment with new faces. However he adjusted quickly because the staff here are so friendly and caring. Now he goes to daycare with a big smile on his face. The staff here does a good job at communicating with you about your child's day through an app they use. They also have good safety protocols in place for covid-19. I love how I can drop him off at daycare and not have to worry about him because I know he is being well taken care of. Thank you RHMS!

  • My experience with Rocking horse is so special, we had our first daughter in a different daycare and we were not satisfied at all. So, going to Rocking horse we were skeptical and we had always to make sure everything is perfect for our baby girl. Krystal the office manager is an amazing person she loved the kids and was always present she became part of our kids life. Linda made all the yummy food she cooked with love and made their birthday cakes. Mrs Suhaila the Owner is great and very welcoming. We were so happy to have our second daughter join, it was the easiest transition as we felt she is going to her second home. All the teachers are amazing, caring and perfect touch of discipline for the kids. My daughter loved doing homework and telling us all about what she did in class. Mrs Negar became part of our family she treated my daughter more like her daughter. My daughter will finish her home work because she knows that her teacher will look at it the next day. Mrs Catherine the most loving human being we adore her, My younger daughter loves her and still talks about her favorite teacher . My girls were lucky to have such an amazing staff, as I was blessed to have a worry free environment with caring staff. We moved to the west end couple of months ago, the hardest part about the move is leaving Rocking horse. My kids still talk about their teachers and their friends. We had such an amazing experience we felt part of a family.

  • " My child has attended Rocking Horse Montessori for the past 3 months and I am so happy with the level of support, care and safety. My daughter is so happy each time during pickups and drop-offs, that's a huge sign that she feels supported and cared for.   • " My daughter is cared for in the Infant room at Rocking Horse Montessori School and Nursery. At 15 months old, she is very attached to her parents, however when I drop her off she is happy to be at school, and when I pick her up she’s reluctant to leave. This is due totally to the wonderful care that she receives there. She has the most caring and loving caregivers I have ever met. They never holds back with praise and love and it really shows. I am able to go to work each day feeling totally comfortable that she is in such great hands. "

  • " As a first time mum, on my first year here in canada with no friends or family, I thought that my life was over. I was very anxious, lonely, and clueless. I felt that my son was not eating well, not sleeping well, and not developing like the other kids his age. The day I decided to send my son to Rocking Horse was our “rescue” day! First of all, they made transition seem extremely easy! I thought I was never going to be able to leave my son alone with strangers. But from day one, they made me trust them and they weren’t strangers anymore. The HiMama app is *** because it kept me up to date with everything all day long. My son joined at 15 months in the infant room where he started to gradually develop and catch up with the kids his age. He started eating and sleeping better and I was finally able to wean him (which is also something I thought I would never be able to do). My son was IN LOVE with Ms.Ellie to the point that if he had a tantrum and we mention “Ms.Ellie”, he would stop crying and start looking around for her. He then moved to the junior toddler class where he really grew, started making friends, and became more and more independent. Today is his second birthday, he developed socially and educationally and he is able to control his tantrums much better than before. Rocking horse helped me and my son in so many ways. I cannot be thankful enough for them. My son LOVES going there and he loves his teachers and friends soooo much! They are like his second family here and we feel very blessed to know them ❤️ I want to thank Miss Krystal and all his teachers for all the hard work and care that they show. keep it up❤️ "

  • " My boy has been there for almost 3 years. I am very very appreciating this wonderful place. My boy always enjoy to share with me his life, his learning, how his interaction with others in the school. I can see the progress, his willingness of self learning, exploring new stuff, presentation and initiative. All make me surprised. These are the soft skills with lifelong benefit.   • We brought our 20 month old to Rocking Horse in September just before the public schools opened. With it being our daughter's first time away from us and in the midst of the pandemic, we were nervous she wouldn't adjust well. But thankfully the staff were very experienced and knew how to handle the situation smoothly. I really appreciate their regular updates and daily reports on the HiMama app - it made the transition for me a lot easier! Big thanks to the director, Krystal, our toddler's teacher Ms Catherine, and her assistants! They work tirelessly to keep the environment safe and the kids well taken care of. We know they're in good hands.
